The resort also contains one of Latin America's principal polo venues, three golf courses, a shooting club and a replica of a 16th-century Italian village. Casa de Campo attracts an upscale mix of families, business people and those seeking a relaxing getaway. The reception area is in a glass-walled air-conditioned lounge with travertine floors and a mixture of antique oriental and copper vases. There is a special check-in lounge for VIPs. The decor, by fashion designer Oscar de la Renta, is done in tropical style. Rooms feature a balcony or patio furnished with cushioned rattan chairs, woven cane and mahogany furniture, tiled floors and louvered doors and windows. In addition to the guestrooms and suites, there are three- and four-bedroom villas for larger families or groups; these have added amenities such as spa tubs. Among the resort's exclusive dining venues is The Beach Club by Le Cirque, affiliated with the famed New York restaurant, which serves lunch and dinner. Lago Grill, with open-air seating and views of the golf course and beach, serves breakfast and lunch. Chinois serves pan-Asian fare for lunch and dinner. At the marina, La Casita is open for dinner with a menu specializing in seafood and Spanish cuisine.
